Annual NHV Hat day


The NHV annually organises a Hat day for its members and all other hat lovers.  Main ingredients of this day are: workshops and lectures, a hat exposition and  / or show. Furthermore the Hat day is an outstanding opportunity to meet fellow hat designers and members. 

Hat day 2020

On Saturday November 14th the NHV Hat day will take place at ACEC in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands.

Currently the program of the Hat day 2020 is being finalised and will be published once ready. Below you find an example of the activities that took place in 2019.

Workshops 2019

All main ingredients were again present during this day. Visitors could take part in several workshops such as: Tiara and head creations by Denise Innes-Spencer of the British School of Millinery, Working with crinoline by Els Robberechts, Flower making from feathers or silk by Zijdenbloem ,Sinamay Turban by Pierre & Pierre Millinery Supplies, Couture techniques by Wies Mauduit, Designing of special hat pins by Ana Ehling and Demonstration of hair and hat by Marleen Zaaijer of Sjiek Haar en Visagie

and more

At the material market there were also several new faces present next to the regular suppliers. At the marketplace NHV-members could bring in their long overdue material stock or buy somebody else's unused materials. 

The theme of the NHV Hat Competition 2020 was announced during the day as well as a look back to the 2019 edition and announcement of the Public price winner 2019. 

NHV-members again had the opportunity to have a photoshoot with their latest creations being photographed on the head of one of the models. 

All in all, many reasons to again take part in the next Hat Day!
